The Oman-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA) guarantees exporters duty-free access to the US market provided at least 35 per cent of their value is generated in the Sultanate.
This concession, coupled with the excellent connectivity between Salalah and the United States, makes the Dhofar region of Oman an interesting location to operate from. Further cost benefits come in the form of competitive labour, modern utilities and excellent infrastructure.
Port of Salalah has also been rated a US government's Secure Freight Initiative Charter port and Pilot site. This allows customers to fast-track their trade between Oman and the US.
