As part of our ongoing updates in view of the covid-19 situation, we continue to actively execute, monitor and review our preventive measures. We are hopeful that the businesses will soon be able return back to normalcy.
Port of Salalah maintains normal operations in the Container and General Cargo terminals including our marine services. We would like highlight the following notices:
MOT has issued circular no. 4 / 2020 dated 17th May 2020 related to Enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and Transparency of Logistics Services in Oman, which is as attached
As per attached circular No. 3 / 2020 circulated by Ministry of Transport under the directives of the COVID-19 Supreme Council, it has been instructed to stop all paper transactions.
Therefore, in light of this mandate, and in order to facilitate and implement the subject order, Port of Salalah has initiated following actions:
Offer web access and train users to pre-gate their own trucks.
We encourage all regular customers / agents of the gate to reach out to the Landside Manager to set up their web access account free of charge.
Some local agents have been provided web access and can provide this service.
Effective 10th June, all trucks must be pre-gated through web access only. No trucks will be allowed entry without web access pre-gate.
Eid Holiday Timings:
Eid Al Fitr holidays will be declared by the Government of Oman. On the first day of Eid, the port will temporarily cease all operations from 0500 Hrs to 1300 hrs. The port will remain operational on all other days. Overtime charges as applicable will be charged.
